From fish auctions to the plate, Meia-Nau restaurants bring the best-grilled fish and fresh seafood to the North. In Rua Heróis de França and at Travessa da Cedofeita, the restaurants are elegant and unpretentious, like posh fish shops.
Sitting at wooden tables without tablecloths, we feel the nautical ambience through the decor: white tiles, black lamps that look like fishing rods and recreations of the mesh of octopus fishing nets. Please, do not forget to look at the ceiling, you will have a wonderful surprise!
The menu “smells and tastes” to the Portuguese coastline, consisting of grilled fish, seafood, seafood starters and traditional dishes. Start with some Mexilhões à Meia-Nau and venture out with the rest! We suggest Sopa de Peixe, Feijoada de Lulas com Gambas, Peixe Galo Grelhado or Bacalhau à Lagareiro. Is there still room for dessert? Try Baba de Camelo and a slice of Bolo de Bolacha. The wine list is equally pleasurable! The average price is €30/2 pax.
In Porto, Meia-Nau closes on Monday. In Matosinhos, it closes on Tuesday. Reservations accepted.
