In a space where once a well-known bookstore existed, there is now a pleasant café-bar that, despite keeping the same name (“Casa do Livro” in English is “Book House”), presents a totally new concept.
In this place, always surrounded by books scattered throughout the several hundred-year-old rooms, cocktails, teas or a glass of wine are now served, or a gourmet product, surrounded by the sound of live music (from soul to jazz, or just from the piano of tail).
Carefully decorated, in this bar, the timelessness of the books and the variety of the various musical sounds contribute to the awakening of new senses.
