In Rua Guerra Junqueiro, precisely in the former Cinema Nun’Álvares, a place of worship since the '50s, the Hot Five Jazz&Blues Club Uptown keeps alive the legacy of a live music club of reference in Porto. The Club is like the city stage offering the best conditions for 'live sessions' that you can follow closely in an environment with a very blue vibe: lowlights, airy space, high ceiling and an excellent mezzanine with tables and chairs covered in red. Appreciation is the right word for this experience.
Local musicians, real artists, gather on stage, exhibiting their art, melody and improvisation. Despite the focus on Jazz & Blues, this stage is open to any style of music, and proof of that is the demanding schedule/events at the venue. Here, music is lived and breathed.
